Cassandra is a scrappy outsider who’s not afraid of re-invention or starting over.
Before arriving at her current life as a television writer in Los Angeles, Cassandra has lived exactly 856 different lives, which include being: the only child of immigrant parents growing up in NJ, an architecture student at Barnard College, a gardener, a real estate agent, a side-show oddities enthusiast, a brand marketing data analyst, and a sketch comedy writer for house teams at various theaters in NYC, including the UCB Theater.
Along the way, she met hundreds of interesting people and collected experiences and stories that continue to inspire her writing, which tends to focus on scrappy outsiders who are not afraid of re-invention or starting over (sound familiar?)
She also loves stories that find the humor in terrible situations and tackles subjects like loss, grief, the heaviness of nostalgia, and socio-economic disparity.
Her ‘What We Do In the Shadows’ spec script “Gaba Ghoul” was a Semifinalist in the Filmmatic TV awards in 2020 and her half-hour pilot ‘Realty-V’ was a Quarterfinalist in the Filmmatic Comedy Screenplay awards in 2021. Someone at Filmmatic is a fan!
